Beginner or professional, for skiing or snowboarding, Macedonian ski resorts are having offers for everyone.

Ski resort Popova Sapka lies above Tetovo in the Shar Mountain. Offers 10 km of slopes and 10 lifts for transport. The gondola chairlift Tetovo-Popova Sapka is 7 km long and the ride takes about 40 minutes. Ski terrains are at the latitude of 1100 to 2500 m. The total length is 20 km and three trails built according to FIS criteria are available where is held the international Sharplaninski Cup in slalom and giant slalom

Skiing and snowboarding in the Ski center Mavrovo there is 25 km of slopes available. There are tracks for beginners, advanced and top competitors in the alpine and Nordic categories.  The average snow cover is 70 cm.

The ski center Kozuf, situated in the southern part of Macedonia – North Macedonia and partly in Greece is best situated to advanced and intermediate skiers and snowboarders.

Hunting season for the Macedonian hare is from October 11 to December 14. The hare is the unique kind of wild animal that is able to reproduce in open terrain in hunting fields in Macedonia – North Macedonia.

There are several types of fishing activities in Macedonia – North Macedonia, lake fishing in Ohrid, Doran, Prespa, Mavrovo, Debar, Veles.. river fishing in Vardar, Treska, Pcinja, Crna, Drim.. and farm fishing in “Krivo Krusce” near Kriva Palanka,”Katlanovo” near Katlanovo village, “Ribolom” near Rosoman village etc. the fisherman usually fish for salominides, ciprinides, catfish, eel etc.

Mountain biking is becoming increasingly popular sport in Macedonia – North Macedonia.

It is a great sport to practice with more than thousands off-road, cross paths and dirt tracks. Bicycle paths are also created outside of the urban areas, and the interest in mountain biking is enormously increasing. Some cycling routes in the mountains are more than 30 km long.

Kayaking is very popular sport in Macedonia – North Macedonia especially on the Canyon Matka as a whitewater kayaking. If you like kayaking on backwater you should definitely tray kayaking at the famous Macedonian lakes Ohrid and Prespa lake.
